Anna Sophia Cline is a senior at George Mason University Honors College where she is majoring in Biology with a concentration in Illustration. She currently serves as a substitute teacher at St. Veronica’s Catholic School.  She has been involved in art since she could hold a pencil and is experienced in many genres of art.  Her project mediums include charcoal, scherenschnitte, pencil drawing, pen and ink, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, and oil. Having spent her high school years at NCHS, she is excited to be returning as an instructor.

Course Description

The course will focus on skill development such as drawing from observation, perspective, and light/shadow.  Projects will include still life, 2 and 3 point perspective, German expressionism, portraits, and landscapes.

Materials

• Sketchbook for projects (size 9x12)
• Sketchbook for practice (any size)
• Drawing pencils
• Eraser
• Colored pencils 
• Ruler (or straightedge)
• Mirror (preferably with stand)

Tuition:  $150 - for 75 minute class time
